VascuChek’s Clinical Doppler and Flow Determination
Using ultrasound gel, place the disposable Doppler probe’s tip directly on the test site. Once you’ve maneuvered the probe to the correct location, adjust the angle between the Doppler probe and the vessel until the maximum audible signal is obtained (about 45°).
Once blood flow is detected, the resultant audible pitch signal corresponds to blood velocity, with higher pitches indicating higher velocities. The clinician can easily adjust the volume using the corresponding buttons on the transceiver. If a louder sound is required, the clinician can cast the sound to the speaker dock by pressing the Bluetooth® button on the transceiver.
